Waxon (Sampi Centaurus 2): The home planet of the skinks (The Butler Did It) is a world much warmer than the planets Earth or Panjandrum. Waxon is the second of seven planets of the F-type star, Sampi Centaurus (The Butler Did It). The planet is about the same size as Earth. It is covered mainly with water. There is only one continent, about the size of Australia, which is the home of the skinks. Waxon's axis is nearly perpendicular to its orbital plane, so it does not have seasons like Earth's. It is the same climatic season year round. Even so, biological cycles do exist - trees renew leaves, animals have mating seasons, etc. However, not all trees renew their leaves at the same time nor do all animals have the same mating season. Some "seasons" observed by the Waxonian people were created as a result of biological cycles - big game hunting season, for example. Others were the result of the appearance of certain constellations in the night sky. Others were based on yearly festivals. So the Waxonians had many more, sometimes overlapping, seasons than the four temperate climate seasons of Earth.

White Crow, The: The stars where Ramunus' Treasures were hidden are part of a constellation seen from Waxon, The White Crow. The constellation has more stars of 3rd magnitude or brighter (14) than any other Waxonian constellation. So it is the "brightest/whitest" constellation. The 5 brightest stars form a cross, like the spars of a classic diamond kite. The Waxonians originally called the constellation "The White Kite," based an a legend in which such a white kite was used to rescue a Waxonian hero, Ewanuick, from a small fortress, since called the Fort of Ewanuick. The constellation is now known as "Balta Varna" (Lithuanian for "The White Crow.") The crow is not a Waxonian bird, but a bird from Earth which the Lithuanians knew about. They considered the shorter spar of the kite to represent the wings of a bird (as in the terrestrial constellation, Cygnus, The Swan.) In Lithuanian, "white crows" are people who are different. This constellation not only resembled a bird, but was "whiter" than any other constellation, and so was "different" than other constellations. It was a "white crow" in more than one sense. Waxonians eventually came to associate this constellation with the goddess Dalia, although it's name was not changed from "Balta Varna."
