Log of Incidents at AETN - 2 May to 21 June 2008
(most recent first)

20-21 June 2008: When Last of the Summer Wine came on Friday evening I noticed that the aspect ratio was once again wrong - although there was a

full-screen image, the image was shortened vertically so that everyone looked shorter (or wider) than normal and wheels were not round. I changed channels after the show was over, but when I turned on the TV just before 7 AM Saturday morning, the aspect ratio was still wrong. Five to ten minutes after the Lap Quilting program began at 7 AM the aspect ratio was finally corrected.

17 June 2008: I received an e-mail from AETN blaming the problems noted for 7 and 9 June to be due to "seasonal microwave fades."

9 June 2008: The screen went black, followed by the Channel 9 test pattern, several times in a row during Antiques Roadshow Monday evening.

7 June 2008: The screen went black with tiny sparkles and then changed to the Channel 9 test pattern during Lap Quilting with Georgia Bonesteel Saturday morning.

5 June 2008: The credits of the first half hour of Antiques Roadshow were interrupted by video which flickered on and off. Then the introductory scenes of the second half hour were completely black until the logo scene came on. There were several moments during the show when the video signal was lost again, and the video was lost several times during the next two programs.

1 June 2008: According to their home
page, Anne of Breen Gables was to be
aired on 1 and 8 June. When will
Anne of Green Gables be shown? Maybe
we have to wait until the year
"12908" when they say that the novel
will be written.

2 May 2008: "Last of the Summer Wine" repeated "The Experiment" from 25 April.
