Rialto Theater
The Rialto Theater is at 117 E Cedar. This classical revival style red brick and decorative stone theater was designed by Kolben, Hunter, and Boyd in response to oil boom demands for expanded cultural opportunities in El Dorado. Although the Rialto closed in the mid-1970s it reopened for a number of years under a new owner. It is not showing movies at the present.

mini park
Right across Cedar from the Rialto is another of the city's mini parks with statues of oil field workers and equipment.

Walk west on Cedar past the Rialto and turn south, left, onto Washington.

Community Center
As you walk south on Washington you are in an area which had been known as "Hamburger Row" because of all the restaurants there once. On the right (west) side of the street many of the old buildings have been removed to make way for the construction of the new Community Center.

Presbyterian Cemetary
A little farther south on the east side of Washington you will come to the old Presbyterian Cemetary. Some of El Dorado's first settlers are buried here. The iron fencing and gate were fashioned by Wood and Perot of Philadelphia.
